Allegro Cafe@SS15, Subang Jaya

DA: Where shall we dine today?
Yuyu: Erm... don't know oo, you think la...

DA: let's drive around and see...

After driving around and around and around and around in Sunway

DA: Aiya, only have steamboat
Yuyu: er... why dun't we go to SS15 and see...

Reaching SS15

DA: eh, what do you want to eat?

Yuyu: anything....

DA: ... ...

Yuyu: ... ...

Yuyu: Eh, Allegro... had u been there?

DA: Nope

Yuyu: Let's try and see!

Upon walking in to Allegro
DA and Yuyu [thinking]: How come nobody inside?
DA and Yuyu [thinking]: Oh no... shall we leave? [but we had seated down] Erm....
nola, paiseh!

Finally, we decided not to leave, however, there's nobody in the restaurant at 9pm besides both of us! erm... It was Sunday!

We made a quick decision to have Pasta and Pizza... of course, it's an Italian Restaurant, what else do you want? :p ... well, they do serve steaks or chops!

While having our pizza, the chief, WE GUESS, walked out the restaurant.... then came back.... and WE SAW, WE GUESS, that he grabbed some garlics in his hand....

I can't remember the name of the pizza nor the pasta... this pizza tasted yummy

First bite... Wow... it tasted great.... second bite... wow... the garlic tasted so great.....
ahaha... we wonder if it's the garlic that we saw just now:p

Well, we both had a very nice and full dinner in Allegro, we'll go back for dessert one day :)

Coconut Flower Seafood Restaurant @ Teluk Gong

Teluk Gong... I heard this name long long time ago and I'd never paid any visit until 3 days ago... According to MY, we only took 25 mins from Bukit Jalil to Teluk Gong... Woow... No doubt, both MY and Andy were speeding :p ahahaha....

Seafood Seafood, I love to eat Seafood...

Toddy 椰花酒 RM2.50/bottle
It tasted like rice wine (米酒) for me, not bad!

Left to Right: Black Pepper Udon RM8, Fried Rice RM6, Fried Bee Hon RM4.50,
Fried Oyster RM10, Mix Vege RM13
(According to some friends, the rice and noddles were tasteless, but it's ok for me as I am not so into salty taste nowadays :p hehe...)
This's the Baby LaLa in the Fried Bee Hun, haha... So small and so cute and so pity!!!

Tom Yum Prawn RM53 (We ordered 2, not bad but it tasted little sour and the prawns were little over-cooked)
Fish-白须公RM34 (This tasted fresh)

Crab: Kam Hiong (金香)RM30/kg, Butter Crab (奶油)RM32/kg,
Sweet Sour(茄汁)RM30/kg
(We all love the Sweet Sour Crab as it's the most tasty and 入味one, Kam Hiong and Butter Crab were little dissapointed though, and LF found that the crabs are so "BIG")

Well, overall the seafoods there were just adverage, but we had a wonderful gathering there as the environment was not bad, it wasn't hot there too because they have quite some celling fans, however I really don't like the toilet as it can't be locked and no flush and no water in the toilet :(

YuYu's personal rating, which based on her personal taste bud and feeling:-

Food: 7.5/10

Drinks: 7/10 (well, hard to rate this as we only ordered chinese tea-Bou Lei)

Service: 9/10

Well, everyone is so busy with working life... I do miss the days that we hang around and traveled around!!! Luckily we got to meet up this time though Suz couldn't get to make it at last! We went to Garden for dinner as it's so near to Crystal's house.

Bangsar - Capri Cafe and pasar malam

Karma brought Mala and I to this place at Bangsar yesterday. I'm not familiar with Bangsar at all, and I really can't imagine there's such cafe -- where you could have chops or steaks in Bangsar for not burning a hole in your pocket... :p

We ordered Teh Tarik (RM1.50), Lemonade, Ice Lemon Green Tea, Hainanese Chicken Chop (RM12) and Grilled Chicken Chop with Cheese (RM13). The portion was kinda generous and we were so full after the dinner and we decided to do some exercise -- window shopping at Bangsar Village :p Karma told us that there's pasar malam nearby, so we decided to have a look. It's kinda a small or mini pasar malam, nothing much you could get there. Despite this, we still got ourselves something -- coconut jelly and brownies.

(Coconut Jelly RM4 for 1, and RM10 for 3)
I've never tried Coconut Jelly before, it tasted kinda fresh for me, however for the first bite or two, it was kinda nice... but, after few bites it tasted too sweet for me

(Brownies RM2.50, it's very "chocolate" :p)

Home Alone!

Mom and dad were away, and here's my dinner alone tonight!

Oatmeal Raisins Cookies

Mala came over again, yeah yeah yeah!!! According to Mala, these Oatmeal Raisins Cookies are suppose to be chewy, not crunchy. At the first bite, many said that it seems to be "Lao Fong" already (come on, I just baked it, ok?!), but as said before, it is supposed to be chewy one ma... hehe.... Well, I really love these cookies!

Tea time!

Mala came over to teach me making quiche yesterday. She is kind enough to bring me her homemade Lemon Blueberry Muffins. So, here's my tea time today, I made CHAM* -- coffee from Kluang Station and PG Tips from UK, ahaha... what a combination, to have it with the muffins. Yummy~ Yummy!

*When I took the pic, milk hadn't added in yet :p

Quiche!!!

I love quiche! The first one that I had was a frozen one, unfortunately. I tried online recipe to make one before, however it wasn't success. Today, lucky enough that a friend of mine know how to make one and she came over to my place, during her birthday, ahaha... to teach me!

Ta-Tah!!! Here's my quiche!!!
Well, I do prefer a thicker one, maybe next time I'll use a deeper pie mole :) Thank Mala for your time and Happy Birthday, may your dreams come true :) Cheers~

DA brought me to Kepong for kite-flying, wow... thank you DA, I really love this place! After kite-flying, we went to Marche for dinner! It wasn't my first visit to Marche, my first visit was about 3 years ago, if not mistaken, hehe... However, I order the same food which I had last time!

Plain Rosti RM7.50
(I am a potato lover)

Saute Mushroom RM9.00
(I'm a mushroom lover too)

Lamb Sausage RM6
(This taste better than chicken sausage)

Scone RM1
(Yes, it's just RM1and it's kinda nice, however, they only serve jam )

Smoke House

Smoke House! Yes! Smoke House! It was the place which I brought DA for his birthday dinner treat last year (Yes, it was a year ago and I'm writing about it, finally!). Located in Jalan Mayang, Smoke House is a real romantic place for candle light dinner. While waiting to be seated or ordering your food, you can have a drink in the waiting area and the waiting area was just like a living-room for you -- cozy, warm and comfortable! Of course, if you play piano, you can "show" your skill there too :p Wouldn't it be nice if your BF or GF could play piano and he or she is playing for you? ahaha~

Three-course meal (RM128.00)

Starter: Mushroom Soup

Main Course: Roast Rack of Lamb
(Very nice, tender and juicy!)

Dessert: Creme Brulee
(nice nice!!!)

Cocktail (RM15)

Fettuccine Salmon (RM28)
(The fettuccine was little over-cook for me, and the portion was kinda big!)

(Oops! I forgot to take a pic of the coffee :p)

Sushi Zanmai - Lunch

Here's my lunch at Sushi Zanmai today:

Cha Soba (Small - RM8.80)
(The first time when I had Cha Soba was many years ago when I travelled with Japan Airline, and I really miss this dish very much!)

Sukiyaki (RM 15.80)
(Erm... this wasn't my favorite, the soup was kinda salty to me and the beef wasn't my favorite too)

YuYu's personal rating, which based on her personal taste bud and feeling:-

Food: 7/10
(I only tried these two dishes today, and I'll definitely come back for other food)

DA's Birthday

Few weeks ago...

Thai food? Japanese food? Western food? Korean food? Italian food? or.... Oh my, I couldn't make up my mind where to bring DA for his brithday dinner!!!

Few days ago...
Still thinking the same question... where to bring him oo?

Finally one day ago...

OK, decided!!! Let's try Tex-Mex Food!!!

________________________________________________________________
Yoyo! It's DA's big day! I brought him to Jaya One for birthday dinner. It was our first time stepping into Jaya One, and I wasn't sure what is nice there... Since DA brought me for Spanish food on V-day, so let's try some other cuisine which we have never tried before... and here you go -- Tex-Mex Cuisine @
FRONTERA Bar & Grill ! Erm.... we were not so sure what to order as it's our first time dining in a Tex-Mex Restaurant... and finally we just go for Taquitos de Pollo, Chimicanga Frontera and Horny Margarita.

Taquitos de Pollo (RM19.95)
Shredded chicken, hand-wrapped in corn tortillas then flash-fried and served with salsa and sour ream.
(The cream was so freshing!)

Chimicanga Frontera (RM23.95)
Homemade flour tortilla filled with either seasoned beef or shredded chicken, refried beans and cheese.
(I love the cheese on the top of the tortilla)

Horny Margarita (RM22.95)
(Again, I don't really drink... but I still can tell that it tasted quite good to me to me :p )

Yes, we shared among the food and we actually felt kinda full after the meals. However, I always have room for dessert!!! and YUP!!! Tah-Tah~ the mini birthday rose-favor cake from Tea of Life. This rose-favor cake tasted kinda special and you could really taste the "rose", however, a pity that we felt kinda sweet after we had almost half of the cake.

Rose-favor Cake
(This is an organic cake and you could really taste the rose-favor. I think they actually put roses and blended or mixed them with the flour and baked it. There were some dried flower petal inside the cake, which we first thought it was XIU KEONG :p wahaha)

YuYu's personal rating,
which based on her personal taste bud and feeling:-
Food: 7/10
Drinks: 8/10

Service: 6.5/10 (I'd made a reservation a day ago, however when we reached there, the staff seems not knowing about the reservation. Anyhow, the restaurant wasn't crowded and only 3-4 tables were occupied when we reached at 7pm++. Overall, service was just OK)

Ambiance: 6/10 (A very ordinary dining place, give me the feeling sitting in Nando (Oopsy!))

Address:
Frontera Bar & Grill
18-G-2, Block L, Jaya One,
No. 72A, Jalan University,
46200 P.J.

V-day dinner

Yup, it's the month of V-day!

It's our 2nd Valentine's and DA brought me to La Cocina at USJ9 for a V-day dinner. It's to my surprise that DA actually brought me to this nice restaurant without revealing anything about the v-day plan. I'm normally the one who always request the places I want to go or the food I want to eat, and he will always be the driver and bring me to look for the food or the places.

You know what, I don't have the restaurant interior picture as I'd totally forgotten to take a pic of it! Erm... however, I still remember about the FOOD, fortunately! YUMMY, YUMMY!

Since they don't serve other food besides from the V-day menu, we have not much choice and we made a quick decision to have each of the starters, same soup, Scallops Fettuccine, Lamb Rack and each of the desserts.

Spring Chicken Cubes With Boletus Mushroom Cream Sauce On Filo Pastry Shell

Stuffed Squid With Herbs & Spices Peppers Served Picon mayo & Picon Verde

Spanish Onion Soup with Almond & Saffron
(I love the Almond in my soup!)

Baked Large Scallops Tossed with Fettuccine Pasta
(The scallops was very soft and we thought we're chewing some fresh fish balls and the pasta was very Q, very well control of timing :p )

Lamb Rack Roasted with a Pommery Mustard, Garlic and Herb Crust
(This was really great and the lamb was tender and juicy!!!)

Rich Spanish Flan with Chocolate and Caramelized Bananas
(I love this too! There's choc at the bottom surprised me!)

Spanish Pear Tart with Vanilla sauce
(This was nice too, but we still preferred the flan)

Home-made Chocolate Truffles
(DA drew a smiley with coffee, the choc melted fast after u put it into your mouth)

Last but not the least and my favorite - Sangrias
(I don't really drink, but this cocktail tastes really nice and I couldn't stop sipping from DA's glass :p)

DA and I really had a wonderful dinner on that day! Each of the set dinner costs RM88++ and the Sangrias on that day was about RM16++. Since they only served V-day menu that day, I'll surely go back for the Paella Negres and some other tapas and of course the SANGRIAS! Cheers~ and thank you DA *Sweet*

YuYu's personal rating, which based on my personal taste bud and feeling:-
Food: 9/10

Drinks: 9/10

Service: 8/10 (deduct 1 mark for forgetting to deliver the homemade choc truffles, hehe)

Ambiance: 8/10 (A warm and cozy place, not so romantic like Smoke House though)
